Statement from the Board: Unison CEO

The Unison Board has accepted the resignation of CEO Jack Panton.

Mr. Panton has said in a message to Unison staff, stakeholders and clients:

“I care deeply about the work that Unison undertakes and have enjoyed my time contributing to and shaping Unison’s strategic direction. Unison is an organisation with great people and an important goal to create vibrant and sustainable communities through affordable housing. I wish Unison staff, stakeholders and most importantly its clients, all the best for the future.”

The Board acknowledges Mr. Panton’s leadership and commitment to Unison and thanks him for his service. The Board wishes him well in his future endeavors. 

It is with pleasure that the Board also announces that Ed Holmes, acting CEO has accepted the CEO position on a permanent basis. Ed has been exemplary while acting as CEO and as our Director of Corporate Services.

Ed has extensive experience in the community services sector having worked in senior roles across disability, aged care and justice before joining Unison.  Prior to entering the community sector Ed was in senior management roles in the corporate sector in mining and manufacturing.  

Unison will remain focussed on our work in delivering vibrant and sustainable communities through affordable housing. We value above all else our people and clients, respect, positivity and accountability. Unison will continue to put these at the core of what we do.
