Research team member appointed

Unison is very pleased to advise Dr Juliet Watson has been appointed to the position of Lecturer in Urban Housing and Homelessness and the Deputy Director of the Unison Housing Research Lab at RMIT University.

Unison has established an applied research partnership with RMIT University. Over five years the research program will investigate issues of urban housing and homelessness. 

Juliet joins the team headed by RMIT's inaugural Professor of Urban Housing and Homelessness, Guy Johnson. A qualified social worker, Juliet has extensive research, teaching, and practice experience in the areas of homelessness, violence against women, and youth. She completed her doctorate at the Youth Research Centre, University of Melbourne.

Juliet's role is a critical position within the research team and in particular, will shape the subject that will be developed and taught on housing and homelessness at RMIT.
